Vigorous Exercise Just Once or Twice Per Week Benefits Heart Disease Patients

An international study involving 32,370 outpatients with stable coronary artery disease from 45 countries revealed that patients who performed vigorous physical activity (enough to raise the heart rate and cause shortness of breath) one or two times a week had a lower risk for stroke, death from cardiovascular disease, and death from any cause than participants who lived a sedentary lifestyle.
